What brought you to Sydney, and how long have you been here? I’ve lived in Sydney since I was born. I travelled a lot in my 20s and thought I’d never want to settle down here – I was always getting that itch to travel again. Now, I can’t see myself ever leaving.
Describe yourself in 3 words or less: Creative, stubborn, loving.
We only have 24 hours in Sydney, where would you take us? Probably for breakfast at The Boathouse in Balmoral on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. It’s a little piece of paradise. Then we’d do the Spit to Manly walk followed by a swim. Back to the Eastern Suburbs for a late lunch at the gorgeous garden restaurant Chiswick in Woollahra. For sundowners, I’d go to the newly renovated Watson’s Bay Hotel. The interior is divine and the view is spectacular. For dinner, Icebergs overlooking Bondi Beach. It’s the obvious choice, but for good reason.
Best coffee in Sydney? I live two doors down from a café called Tiger Mottle in Paddington’s Five Ways. I’ll either go there or to the bakery up the road called Sonoma. Sydney does coffee well.
Favorite beach: Balmoral Beach in the late afternoon eating fish and chips on the beach.
Favorite date-night spot: A little Italian restaurant called Fratelli Paradiso in Potts Point. I never get sick of it.
Best view of the Harbor? From the top of the harbour bridge. I’m terrified of heights and still managed to climb to the top. It was such a great thing to tick off the bucket list.
Yoga or Pilates? And where? Saturday morning pre-natal yoga at The Lifepod in Paddington. Co-owner Lauren Falconer is such a calming teacher – I always leave feeling relaxed and revived.
Favorite weekend getaway outside Sydney? Jervis Bay. It’s heavenly. There are countless beaches to visit. My favorite is one called Murrays Beach. White sand, turquoise water – it’s insanely beautiful.
Who is on your stereo? At the moment? Nursery rhymes!
And who is currently inspiring you? My daughter Arabella. Her little smile is all I need.
