What gets you out of bed each day? My son usually wakes me.
How often do you get back to Portland? Maybe 2 or 3 times a year.
What makes Portland special? It's a very grey and rainy place with beautiful full trees and moss. A town full of progressive artist types and many, many book stores. It's a place where you can do your art without taking a vow of poverty due to the fact that living expenses are so low. It's an organic city in every sense of the word.
Favorite place to caffeinate? Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
Your ultimate Portland weekend…in the winter, it would be all about staying indoors and cooking and watching movies or playing guitar. In the summer, maybe a trip to Sauvie Island for some fun in the sun followed by an all night bonfire on the beach.
Favorite live music venue: rontoms or Crystal Ballroom or…it's actually hard to say because there are quite a few nice joints.
Favorite weekend getaway outside Portland: The Oregon Coast or maybe Timberline Lodge.
